Speaker Bio:
Julio Sabates joined the Nevada State Contractors Board in 2010 as compliance investigation supervisor in the Board’s Henderson office. In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring investigations into licensed contractor complaints are conducted in a professional, timely, and unbiased manner. He works directly with Board investigators, homeowners, and contractors to resolve issues concerning workmanship, money owing, and violations of the State’s business and contracting laws. Prior to joining the Board, Julio acquired 20 years’ experience in the residential and commercial construction industries holding positions of cost manager, land development manager, construction/project manager, director of engineering, construction inspector, and technical coordinator. His projects have included the I-4 Roadway/Bridge Expansion, I-215 Section 3A Roadway and Interchange, the South Valley Pipeline, the Sloan Pump Station, multiple residential communities and developments, and the City of Las Vegas Commercial Redevelopment Project, to name a few. Julio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
